happy birthday, Meghan!
Umm… quite an adventure, couresy of Matthew Fisher and our (gay) cab driver.
this is just too beautiful not to have here…
This is the first day of my life
Swear I was born right in the doorway
I went out in the rain, suddenly everything changed
They’re spreading blankets on the beach
Yours was the first face that I saw
I think I was blind before I met you
I don’t know where I am, I don’t know where I’ve been
But I know where I want to go
So I thought I’d let you know
That these things take forever, I especially am slow
But I realized that I need you
And I wondered if I could come home
Remember the time you drove all night
Just to meet me in the morning?
And I thought it was strange, you said everything changed
You felt as if you just woke up
And you said
“This is the first day of my life
I’m glad I didn’t die before I met you
But now I don’t care, I could go anywhere with you
And I’d probably be happy”
So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery
Uh huh, mmhm
Besides, maybe this time is different
I mean, I really think you like me…

This is the longest I’ve had this particular computer up for. If I remember correctly I had a Pentium II running Windows NT4 that managed to stay up for 60 some days until a power failure brought it down. My current computer being a laptop I’m not shooting for any records, but nonetheless I usually only reboot it when there’s a software update or if I’m not going to be using it for a few days. (You can see the last time that happened, which was when I went to the UP on vacation…) Anyhow, I wanted to record this, since it’s kind of neat. Once OSX isn’t supporting PPC I’ll probably manage to keep this iBook up for a year or something, just for the heck of it. Thanks, OSX!
# reboot

Well, I ended up calling my phone insurance people this morning and they told me my phone was still under warranty, since they’d replaced it once before in May. So I should get a new one in a few days.
The other thing I did was go to Wal Mart and get a cheap GoPhone as my SIM card will work in any GoPhone. AT&T doesn’t want you to know that, but yeah—you can get a $15 GoPhone and put your at&t SIM card in it and it’ll work just like it’s your own phone. Neato. So I have a phone for this weekend.
ps- going to chicago to meet up with Dino. Haven’t seen him in a year and a half. Excited.
the keypad on my state-of-the-art motorola razr v3 stopped working. every button i push launches the web browser. which is weird. so don’t call me, cuz it’s not turned on.
