We’re getting a new $10 bill.
Grant and Jefferson already got their makeovers and, in early 2006, it will be Former Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton’s turn.
We all of course remember that Mr. Hamilton was shot dead in the famous duel by Jefferson’s Vice President Aaron Burr, Jr who was of course made famous by his appearance in a “Got Milk?” commercial.

This must be a Tiger issue, because it was working fine on Panther.
MY BRIGHTNESS [F1/F2] BUTTONS DON’T WORK
it sucks my battery down
and pisses me off.
And no, I do not have it set up where I have to hold down fn + F1 in order for hardware features to work.
And I’m already in a bad mood.

Tonight the Best Family Guy Episode Ever was on [adult swim].
The Road to Rhode Island.
[Stewie and Brian are trying to sleep in a motel, a drug deal is heard in the next room]
Drug Buyer: You got the stuff?
Drug Dealer: Yeah I got it, where’s the money, huh? I wanna see the money.
Drug Buyer: No, no, no, you don’t see the money ’till I see the stuff.
Stewie Griffin: Oh, for God’s sake, there’s only one way to put an end to this nuisance.
[yelling]
Stewie Griffin: HE’S WEARING A WIRE!
Drug Dealer: What? You son of a…
[gunshots are heard following by a "body drop" sound effect]
and i think my favorite is
Stewie Griffin: Yea and God said to Abraham, “You will kill your son Isaac.” And Abraham said, “I can’t hear you, you’ll have to speak into the microphone.” And God said, “Oh I’m sorry, Is this better? Check, check, check… Jerry, pull the high end out, I’m still getting some hiss back here.”

I guess there’s hockey this year. I don’t normally follow hockey, I only noticed its absence last year because I lived by the VanAndel Arena, where the Grand Rapids Griffins play.
When Adam and I were in Canada we stopped by Canadian Tire and looked at hockey pucks and sticks and jerseys, etc (basically, they have a whole section for ice hockey and street hockey) and Adam said he’d never played hockey. Which was foreign to me! I played floor hockey all through elementary/middle/high school and know the rules to hockey, etc. Must be because I’m from Michigan, which is really a part of Canada.
So I decided I want a hockey jersey for my wardrobe this winter, but I’m not sure how to buy one. I know they’re bigger fitting because pads go under it, but do I get a large? medium? Hrm.
And I’m not sure what team to get. I definitely want a Canadian team. Either an Ottawa Senators away jersey or a Montreal Canadiens. I like the Maple Leafs colors, too.

It’s been awhile. I still need to get Mac OS 10.4 so I can start putting my computer back in order. I have most of pictures either on CD or Flickr, my music is on my iPod, and anything else worth keeping is backed up online.
(On that note, paulpellerito.com lives in L.A., so it was down a lot yesterday)
I haven’t felt like blogging much lately.
I decided the last weekend ago that I could be happy with my life if I got to see Dino every day, but I probably never will.
Other than that, I’m disillusioned about a lot of things. I’m completely unhappy with nearly everything in my life… I hate my job, I didn’t like my experience going back to school, and I’ve come around to believing that I’m just one of those people who doesn’t get to be happy. Sure, I’ll bring happiness to other people, but it will never be mine to have, only to share.
I also no longer believe that there’s “someone out there” for me…
So yeah. Fuck it.
Sorry for the doom and gloom. I’ll blog again when I get my computer back in shape.
For some reason I feel like a vaguely depressed teenager again + I hate it. I think it’s cuz work sucks. I’m quitting on February 3rd.

I went to Canada for Labour Day Weekend… Yes, they have Labour Day in Canada, with the advantage of having 200% more U that American Labor Day… Adam and I went to Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec to visit Guy and get away from Grand Rapids. Had a good time, drove 12 hours there and 6 hours back… got a free check up from Health Canada… and I guess my computer’s fixed, which I can pick up tomorrow.
